House Beautification

Made some nice little valances for the windows in the office. I thought they turned out pretty good. Fabric choices are limited in this town, but I like what I found.

Still a no-name

I know I am making much too big a deal out of the name thing. Nevertheless we are enjoying this little puppy. He's pretty predictable which means we are being trained in his habits. He's becoming more animated as he gets to know us and his surroundings better. Our bishop was over last week and saw him and said the day we adopted him he won the puppy lottery!

Labor Day

We felt like our hands were tied since we couldn't get into our house. We had a U-Haul truck loaded full of furniture and couldn't do a thing about it til we closed on the new house. What to do? Have a day of fun! We drove to Diamond Lake which is only about an hour and a half away, walked around, people watched, and enjoyed the weather. On the way back we stopped at the Steamboat Inn and had a late lunch. It was a great stress-free day. We needed it.

Jasper spends the night

Last weekend on our way to BattleGround we stopped through Portland and picked up Jasper. Amy needed a break and we were excited to spend some quality time with Jasper. He was a super baby and slept like a champ. We returned him the next morning and had breakfast with Amy.

Just a Nice Saturday together

We began our day with breakfast at Brix--our favorite place. They serve a french toast with fresh berries that fills us up all day. We then took my sewing machine in for service since lately its been making clackety-clack noises. After that it was off to Saving Grace animal shelter to "flirt" with the dogs. We would kinda like to have a dog, but know we can't right now so we both know its safe to look. It wouldn't be a Saturday without a trip to Kruze Farms for corn, tomatoes, watermellon and peaches--oh, and a fresh salsa they make that we really like. Came home and found our favorite little deer friend peeking in our window.

I did it too!

With Courtney's encouragement, and help from Krazy Coupon Lady.com, I armed myself with the Albertson's ad and manufacturer's coupons, and my list of sale items and saved big. If I had purchased these items at full retail they would have come to $91.02. I paid $27.06. It was worth the effort.
